Patriots sign OL McMahon
The New England Patriots have signed first-year offensive lineman Pete McMahon. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Patriots signed the 26-year-old McMahon on Sunday, two days after the Jacksonville Jaguars released him.
The 6-foot-8-inch, 330-pound McMahon was out of football during the last two regular seasons and has not played in an NFL game. He was originally selected by the Oakland Raiders in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of the University of Iowa.
McMahon spent the 2005 season as a member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad. He was in training camps with the New York Jets the following year and the Jaguars in 2007.
He was re-signed by the Jaguars as a free agent on March 5, 2008 and was released Friday.
